Strengthened In Your Soul

A flourishing finish will be yours, so that by His grace you may be able to say,’ This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’, even as you hear Him, speak specifically into your life, through His word that promises – Those who seek the Lord, lack no good thing. [Psalms 34:10] The goodness of God, comes through the salvation of God, and it is with a right understanding of it, that it becomes your experience. Salvation is a transfer from the darkness of disorder and chaos to the light of the kingdom of the Son, that is abundance and divine order [Colossians 1:13,14] It comes by God shining in your heart, the light of the knowledge of His glory, in the face of Jesus Christ. [2 Corinthians 4:6] It finds its expression, in you prospering in all things, even as your soul prospers. [3 John 2] It is God’s blessing and abundance.

Spiritual reality –> real-life experience:

And no eye has seen, nor ear heard, or mind conceived what God has already prepared for those who love Him. But spiritual truth is revealed in your spirit, by the Spirit. [1 Corinthians 2:9] It connects spiritual reality to real-life experience, that you may taste and see that the Lord is good, or in other words, experience the truth that you may prosper even as your soul prospers, because of all that Christ has accomplished on the Cross.

Made bold – with strength in your soul:

On the day I called, You answered me; You made me bold, with strength in your soul. [Psalms 138:3] You need strength in all your being, in your spirit, soul, and body, that you may prosper in all things. And, it is when you are not conformed to the pattern of the world, but transformed by the renewing of your mind that you are made bold, strengthened in your soul, in your circumstance, that could be troubled. In the midst of it all, understanding needs to come. And it is the Holy Spirit who brings understanding in your soul, which constitutes your mind, emotions, and will, and is your thinker, feeler, and decider. The Holy Spirit comes upon you, as the Lord has promised, that you may be His witness, affecting your being, and going on to influence your doing. [Acts 1:8] The Spirit of God, influences your mind giving understanding, that transmits into divine affections in your emotions, which then converts into a godly decision that leads to your God-ordained destiny.

The power build-up –> understanding:

I am understanding; I have power (strength). [Proverbs 8:14] The first thing that needs to be impacted is your understanding, for it is then that you can experience the power to be strengthened in your soul. In all your getting, get understanding, is the counsel of the scriptures. And for it to happen, a wise man increases his knowledge steadily, grace upon grace, strength upon strength. [Proverbs 24:5]

The path towards understanding:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. [Proverbs 9:10] Fear of the Lord, according to the scriptures, is reverentially loving and respecting Him. God’s wisdom begins with it. Also, it is knowledge of God that is understanding; and understanding is power. For, only when you know Him, you will understand life, and also know who you are; in the beginning was the word; before you were born into this world. Therefore, you begin with the One who created you.

In your spiritual life, being intentional:

Increasing knowledge that leads to prospering in all that you do, comes to you, not as a random happenstance, but as you are intentional in your spiritual life, even as the psalmist has set forth in the very first psalm. [Psalms 1:1-3] In the world, it is a luck system that operates, where only one person wins. But, with God, it is diametrically opposite; for it is a love system, where the blessing of God is open to anyone. It is the will of God that none should perish. And the one who is intentional in obeying God, in meditating upon His word, day and night, who is blessed and prospers in all that he does. [Verse 3]

Teach your children well:

Therefore, when you or your children, find yourself to be weak in the subject of God, you need to upgrade your knowledge of the word by God, intentional in upgrading your knowledge of God, for it is knowing the truth that sets you free. You need to be strengthened in your inner man, or your soul needs to be strong. It was what the man after God’s own heart, King David did in a time of trouble.

In HIM- being strengthened in your soul:

Even grown men can cry, and David and his men had physical strength only to cry when the enemy had plundered them, to take all the people of their families captive; [1 Samuel 30:1-6] But, when faced with such a situation in your life, God can make a way, to stop blaming yourself, blame others, or blame God even, as Naomi did for her misfortune. And He can make you strengthen yourself in the Lord, even as David did. David was in great danger, for the people spoke of stoning him because all their people were bitter in spirit for their sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord. [1 Samuel 30:6]

In trouble – listen to God, not yourself:

The psalmist David once again displays, how in a time of trouble, what your approach, your conversation needs to be – it is not in listening to what your own soul is saying to you – Why are you in despair, O my soul, and why have you become disturbed in me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance, and my God. [Psalms 42:11]

Yet I will praise Him:

As you consider, all that He has done in your life thus far, you can indeed praise Him, even while passing through a troublesome valley. Your heart can make a melody, to the truth that you need not fear, for you will know that the God who has led you thus far, will not leave you now. Praise and prayer will bring perspective to your soul. And you can say to your soul, as the psalmist does, words that will quieten, and strengthen, making you bold in your soul.

Return to your rest, O my soul:

People may have dealt badly with you; withheld what ought to have come to you, what belongs to you, but you have a faithful God who has dealt generously with you and will never withhold. Therefore, you need not be worried. Rather, you can worship to strength in your soul, saying – Return O my soul, to your rest, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. [Psalms 116:7] Life may have dealt badly with you; but now you can say, ‘The Lord is my Helper. What can man do to me?’, to know that on the day you call out to Him, you are made bold with strength in your soul. Father, I thank Thee, that today is the day I call upon you, that you may hear me; This is the favorable time; today is the day of salvation that declares that there was no one weak among them. You are my strength, and may I return to worship Thee, to stand as a testimony of Thy amazing grace. In the Name of Christ Jesus Amen.
