Resting in the knowledge that what the Lord begins, He will bring to a flourishing finish, may you rejoice and be glad in His house of prayer, as He continues to minister to you, for… Those who seek the Lord, shall lack no good thing.[Psalms 34:10] Salvation is the means by which the goodness of God comes into your life, and a right understanding of it therefore becomes vital and important.
A mind renewed – its importance:
It is a turning away from sin, a repentance that needs to be accompanied by a renewed mind, thinking the thoughts of God, that it becomes yours. It is then that you will be able to recognize the goodness in God’s will for you. As Paul writes to the Romans- Do not be conformed to the pattern of the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may test and approve what is the good and pleasurable and perfect will of God. [Romans 12:2] And it is with a godly understanding that you will begin to think like Him, a renewed mind that operates in a scale that is godly mathematics, to accomplish much in His strength. And it is with a renewed mind that you will recognize, that in His will for you there is goodness, pleasure and perfection. It is a perfection that is a fullness, wholeness and genuineness, and God in His foreknowledge, has already provided it to be made possible, in spite of challenges that may come in the path to it.
HIS provision & for HIS purpose:
All provision has been made in the will of God, to do His goodwill, with pleasure. For, having a godly desire in you, without having the power to accomplish it, will only lead to frustration and despair. And having all the provision in the world, without having a godly purpose for its use, will only result in it all being meaningless.
A relationship of sonship:
God’s provision will become meaningful, only when you have a personal relationship with Him, in a relationship of sonship, calling Him Abba Father. For, it is then that Romans 8:28, comes into play, revealing to you His divine purpose, for your life. A renewing of your mind is, wherein what He has planted is rooted, and what the Father has not planted is uprooted. Any new trend, philosophy or concept, that does not agree, or find it’s place in the word of God, is something that you do not need. And what Christ has accomplished on the Cross, is perfection, to which nothing needs to be added or subtracted. And all that you need to know has been revealed to you in His word; It is how His perfection deals with imperfection in you, that His good and perfect will may come to pass in and through you, so that it is not frustration but fulfillment that is your experience in life.
The nature of Christian life:
And the will of God that is perfect can be accomplished in your life; not in your human strength though, but by His word, His Spirit, and people who come along to guide you and counsel you. For, Christian life is interdependent. You need God, and you need people. And it happens as your mind is renewed, and inspired by the word of God.
Not philosophy, but Christ:
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of the world rather than on Christ. [Colossians 2:8] Human traditions do not control you any more. No special days, but every day is the day that the Lord has made, and you rejoice in it. And it is not about caste, but all about Christ, and Him only. You do not need anything, that has nothing to do with Christ.
Fullness in Christ:
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form. [Verse 9] And how it benefits you is described next – And you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the Head over every power and authority. [Verse 10] In your self you are incomplete, and there could be short comings. Andin your life there could be inadequacies and a lack of completeness. But in Him you are complete. And as you acknowledge your lack, your weakness, He makes you complete and strong. Therefore, ‘Let the weak say, I am strong’, can be your proclamation, for He that is in you is greater than He that is in the world, and He makes you complete in Him. And it becomes your experience even as you speak it forth. You find your sufficiency in Him, that His perfect will may come to pass in your life.
Christ is your Head:
It is your head that makes the decisions; and now you are complete in Christ, who is your Head. On becoming a Christian, your brain is more sharpened, your mind renewed, and His decisions become yours… and they are greater and higher, than anything that you would have come up with in your own strength. It is how the Lord’s prayer, ‘May Your will be done on earth, even as it is in heaven’, comes to pass in you, and in your life. For being complete in Him, He fulfills His perfect will in you, that your life maybe fruitful, all for Him, and for His glory. And may your prayer this day be , even as you drawn ear unto the Father, with a desire to do everything in accordance with Christ, that rooted in His word, your life may be made complete in Him. In the Name of Christ Jesus Amen.
