Right attitude & Right action

Being the redeemed of the Lord, may you hear His voice speak into your heart, to be enlightened and empowered in your situation. It is a land that the Lord cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are upon it continually from the beginning of the year unto the end. [Deuteronomy 11:12] It is a promise upon every aspect of your life, even as Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord, to respond rightly, and by faith build the ark for the salvation of his household, precisely according to the instructions given to him by God. [Genesis 6:8, Hebrews 11:7] And it saw him safe with his family, inside the ark, and high above the waters when the floods came. It is a picture of the blessing of God, upon you and your family even as you fulfill your responsibility towards them, His salvation that comes by faith, and His grace. And for this to happen your life needs to be built upon the word of God, with the firm foundation of Christ being the cornerstone.

Sin dealt with on the Cross:

It is so because it is sin that is the problem that can bring you down, the irreconcilable difference between you and God, and Christ on the Cross has dealt with it once and for all, to redeem you from it, to restore all that was lost, by reconciling you in a right relationship with God once again. You have been made right with God, in order to do what is right before God.

Justified through faith:

Therefore since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access, into this grace in which we now stand. [Romans 5:1,2] Sin was the problem that separates and takes us away from God. And one cannot travel in the wrong direction, and expect to reach the right destination. It was what the problem of sin was doing in you. And it was why God sent His Son into the world to die on the Cross, so that the sins of the whole world may be dealt with.

Declared right through faith:

Abraham was fully persuaded that what God had power to do what He had promised. This is why it was credited t Him as righteousness. The words ‘it was credited to him’ were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness, For us who believe in Him who raised Jesus Christ from the dead. [Romans 4:21-24] It is the truth of constitutive and declarative righteousness. God has declared you righteous. And it comes into effect as you put your trust in Christ, His finished work of the Cross, where you believe that all your sins have been dealt with, and you have been made right, that you may do what is right in His sight. And it becomes possible because of the death of Christ on the Cross.

Christ died for our sin:

The wages of sin is death. But it does not mean that Christ also sinned. Rather it establishes a wonderful and timeless truth. You now have strength to resist sin in your life. For, We die, because of our sin. But, He died for our sin. And therein lies the great difference, one that sets you free from the power of sin in you. For you now sin, only because you want to, and not because you have to. He died, so that you can live right.

The Lamb without sin:

Christ was sinless. But He took all wrong upon Himself, to be made sin on the Cross, and die a brutal, gruesome death, disfigured, and hanging between two thieves, who deserved to die for their wrongdoing. He was scorned in His suffering, mocked and put to shame, to die a sinner’s death, in the eyes of the world. But it was your sin and mine, the sins of the whole world that He carried and died on the Cross.

The glorious resurrection:

But, sin dealt with on Calvary, He was raised by God, from the dead, for death and sin could not hold Him and now He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. [Corinthians 15:57] And therefore God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. [Ephesians 2:5]

Raised & seated together with Christ:

It is by grace you hove been saved, by faith and not by works that you may boast. And flowing from it is the wondrous truth of you having been raised and seated with Him in the heavenly realms, far above the enemy, the evil one, and his attacks. It is the glorious change in your condition that has taken place in the unseen spiritual realm, because of the Cross. His work of grace in you sees you seated high above, together with Him, being able to do what is right in His sight, and looking down on your problem that can now no longer overwhelm you. For where sin increases, grace abounds. For, He Himself bore our sins in His Body on the tree, so that wee might die to sin and live for righteousness; by Hi wounds you have been healed. [1 Peter 2:24] Healed by His stripes, He has made you dead to what is wrong, and alive to what is right, by His work of grace upon the Cross, in a divine transaction. And you will reign in life, for you have been overpowered to do what is right. Your chains are gone, for by His amazing grace, set free from the power of sin and death, to live, and do what is right before God. And may this glorious truth be imprinted in your heart and soul, as we partake of the Lord’s Supper, giving thanks unto the Father, for giving us His Son, who died for us in sacrificial love, and rose again, that in Him we too may live, to glorify and honor God the Father. In the Name of Christ Jesus Amen.
