Seeking, waiting, & seeing His goodness

The Lord is good to those who wait for Him; To the soul who seeks Him. [Lamentations 3:25] His word is truth; and it will certainly come to pass. Therefore, you can wait; and wait with expectation; for you have a good God, who loves to do good to you, to see you rise up to soar as an eagle, as you seek Him, and wait upon Him.

Waiting:

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits; And in His word I hope; My soul waits for the Lord, more than watchmen wait for the morning; More than watchmen wait for the morning. [Psalm 130:5,6] That the sun would rise in the morning is a certainty in your soul. And your waiting for God’s word to come to pass, can be even more certain. Truly, truly it will happen!

Waiting – a time to seek God:

Prioritise –

As you wait upon the Lord, seek to know His will, by His word, making it the most important criteria, above all other parameters that could be trying to influence you, at the beginning of this new month. Let the word of God set the pace for this month.

Personalise –

His word will speak to you very relevantly and specifically, touching you at your point of need, whatever it may be. He knows it all. Therefore, receive His word by faith, making it yours as you personalize it. For every promise that comes to you, as you seek the Lord through His word, is ‘Yes’ and ‘Amen’ in Christ. It will certainly come to pass. It was the assurance that Caleb and Joshua, as they stood at the entrance of the land that had been promised to them by God. They personalized the promise, and had the confidence and courage to know that it was possible because the Lord had spoken it to them. Remember His promises that He has spoken to you in your life. Let them be written in the tablet of your heart.

Pursue –

Until it becomes your personal experience, see your promised word from God come to pass, when faith becomes sight, pursue it, without giving up on it. Let your eyes be fixed on Him, for He is faithful.

Delays?

Waiting upon God, could involve at times an apparent delay. Elijah persisted in prayer until a sign, a cloud the size of a man’s palm appeared, heralding the onset of rain, fulfilling the word of God to him. In Christ though, you already have a sign. In Him, your promise is ‘yes’ and ‘Amen’. And what motivates you to wait in spite of evil that could be targeting and surrounding you right now is the truth that you have a God who causes all things to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. [Romans 8:28] There will be a good ending. Your faith will become sight, for what is unseen is permanent and certain. His promise, in this your time of seeking Him is – Sow for yourselves righteousness, Reap steadfast love. Break up your fallow ground, For it is the time to seek the Lord, That He may come and rain righteousness upon you. [Hosea 10:12]

Seeking through praise and prayer:

Praise:

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, call upon His Name, Make known His deeds among the people. [1 Chronicles 16:8] You can sing praises to the Lord, even as you are waiting, for His promise to you has come very close! With gratefulness and thanksgiving, as you consider all that He has already done in your life, you can praise Him, exalt Him with the blessed assurance that He will certainly do all that needs to be done. He is Ebenezer, who has brought you this far, and He is Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and meets your every need, and having given you His word that is truth, He will carry it on to completion.

Prayer:

Multiplication happens in the life of a heart that is grateful for what He has already given you, as you offer it up to the Father with thankfulness. And then, with the blessing of the Lord, it will lead to empowerment, even as five thousand were fed, with so little, the five loaves and two fishes. Therefore, as you continue to meditate upon His wondrous works, what He has already accomplished, your heart as it seeks the Lord will rejoice. [vs 9,10] As you seek first His Kingdom, His righteousness, all that you need will be added unto you. [Matthew 6:33] For those who seek the Lord shall lack no good thing. He is your Rewarder when you seek Him diligently. [Hebrews 11:6] He is a just God who will not forget your work. [Hebrews 6:10] He will do what is right in your situation, even as you wait upon Him, and with strength renewed shall rise up to soar as an eagle. Meditating upon His goodness, may praise rise up in you, and may His will be done, and His Kingdom come in your life, to see every aspect of your life blessed, even as you surrender to His goodness and grace, for, His word is truth; and it will certainly come to pass. In the Name of Christ Jesus Amen.
