The Lord bless thee out of Zion; and may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. [Psalm 128:5] The blessing of God is connected to His calling. And the greatest blessing that you can experience is to be unraveled by the melody of His love poured into your heart by the Holy Spirit, to know and realize that you are called a child of God. It is the word of God that establishes this truth, as you receive it with humility to be implanted in the soil of your heart. And the story does not end there; for as a child of God, in the empowering of the Holy Spirit, and the word of God that continues to work in you, the fruit of the Spirit, which is the ultimate expression of the seed, is seen as a transformation in your character, by the renewal of your mind to be conformed to image of the Son of God.
Therefore, put away all filthiness, and rampant wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word which is able to save your soul. [James 1:21] It involves approaching God to humbly say as Samuel did, ‘Speak Lord, your servant is listening’, and growing in your walk with Him, to say, ‘Lord teach me; help me to understand’. It was the cause for Abraham’s query, so that he may know and co-operate in the call of God to which he had willingly surrendered his life. And the Lord’s answer was the promise of a sign that would be Himself, His very presence that would guarantee the fulfillment of the plan of God for his life, to bless him so that all families on earth may be blessed through him. [Genesis 15:5-8]
WORD that makes the impossible, possible:
And how the word works to bring even what is seemingly impossible in the natural course of event is what was seen demonstrated in the life of Mary, as the angel, Gabriel, proclaimed, to her, the divine calling that would be an incomparable blessing in and through her to all of humanity, impossible though it all appeared to be. It was why she asked of the angel, ‘How will this be since I am a virgin?’ [Luke 1:34] She did not doubt the word of God that cane to her, for she willingly submitted and received it, saying, ‘Behold, I am the Lord’s servant; let it be to me according to your word’. [Vs 38] Her question of how it was possible was so that she may receive understanding concerning it and the Angel explained how it would happen by the power of the Holy Spirit overshadowing her, and assured her saying for nothing will be impossible with God. [Vs 37] Often it is by understanding the truth that you receive the confidence and strength to stand upon it even when everything in and around you speaks against it. For the truth is, God’s word never fails. His love never fails. And God is love. Above all, His word of promise, when it comes to you, has in itself the power to bring it to fulfillment. Christ is the Living Word; and every good word of promise, is Yes and Amen in Christ Jesus.
How does the word make all things possible?
The word of God is like a seed. And when planted in your heart that is akin to fertile soil, with increase that comes from the hand of God, it prospers to give a rich and fruitful yield that brings fulfillment in your life, as nothing else can. For just as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, Making it spring forth and sprout, Giving seed to the sower, and bread to the eater, So shall my word be, that goes out from My mouth; It shall not return to Me empty; But it shall accomplish that which I purpose, And succeed in the thing for which I sent it. [Isaiah 55:10-11] And the basic premise with which the truth needs to be approached is spoken very clearly by God in the verses prior to it where He has declared that His thoughts and His ways are very different from your perspective, for it is limited in every respect. But God who is beyond all limitations has planned and also orchestrates what is very greatly higher and better for your life. It may not happen within your preferred time frame though, for He has made all things beautiful in His time, and He is never in a hurry!
The seed of promise-
The word of God, every promise that you receive from it, in every situation, big or small is like a seed. It has in it the full expression of it, the fruit. But it can come to pass, not when the seed is in a bottle, seated in your kitchen shelf, but only when it is sowed in a soil, in a conducive environment that serves to propagate its germination and growth. In the same way, one can have many bibles in their home, receive may promises in their phone, but it is when the word of God is not merely black letters in a white page, but is imprinted in the tablet of your heart, that it can begin to grow and ultimately become a fruit that is a manifestation of the promise, In short, you need to co-operate with God in order to be blessed. He certainly wants you to be blessed. And the certainty that needs to reign in you is an understanding of the truth that all of His word is powerful, and every promise of His is possible.
Showers of blessing –
Rain makes the land moist and conducive for the seed to get in. And when it comes to the word, the word is the seed, the word is the rain, and the word is the yield or fruit. And though every person is at a different season, different level in his spiritual walk with God, the word is all sufficient to satisfy and strengthen every person in the ups and downs of life that comes to one and all. Be encouraged therefore to give first place to meditating upon the word as you begin each day, instead of allowing needless notifications to clutter your valuable time and space. And may you echo the psalmist’s prayer unto the Lord, for an enlarged heart that it may hold more and more of the imperishable seed of His word, for it is a seed full heart that leads to a fruitful life, devoid of all frustration. And it is the man who meditates upon the word, day and night who is like a tree planted by the waters, and prospers in all that he does. [Psalm 1] It involves is not reading what you like, but reading all that you need, so that it may change your reality, even your genealogy, to know that you were called even before you were formed in your mother’s womb, by the grace of the Lamb who was slain even before the foundation of the world. And with God nothing is impossible. When anxious thoughts multiply in you, His consolation runs deep. When your feet almost slip, you do not fall, for He holds your right hand. It is how the word of God works in you, as it dwells in you richly. And an indication of it would be your good confession, for out of your heart, your mouth speaks, that you may ultimately experience a fruitful life.
God through His word, makes it all possible:
It is because His word, is the imperishable seed that will always give fruit; [1 Peter 1:23] It never returns empty. It accomplishes His purpose. And it prospers, to succeed in the thing for which it came to you, from God. The Lord has promised good to you. His word makes your hope secure. Giving thanks unto the Father, for His amazing grace, may your prayer to Him this day be for a renewed desire in His word that makes what is impossible, possible, that He may be glorified.
