Seeking wholeheartedly & finding

May the all sufficiency of God’s grace become your very personal experience in every realm of your life, as He meets you at your point of need, ministering to you through His promise that declares The Lord bless you from Zion; And may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem, All the days of your life. [Psalms 128:5,6] The blessing of God is that you may experience spiritual growth to be transformed, becoming more and more conformed to the image and likeness of the Lord Jesus Christ. And though there may be trouble all around, you can experience peace in and through Him, to be of good cheer, for He has overcome the world. And your spiritual progress can be visibly seen, evident to all as you are fruitfully planted in the word of God, by taking pains, to remain absorbed in it. [1 Timothy 4:15]

Seeking God, wholeheartedly & willingly:

King David’s words to his son, Solomon, as he entrusted the God given plans for building the temple of God, that he may fulfill it according to God’s good and perfect will. All that needed to be a part of Solomon’s lifestyle and character, were very clearly, with no ambiguity, laid down by David, so that in keeping to it, a temple that reflected the glory of God and also be filled by it, would come to pass. [1 Chronicles 28:9]

a]It was to know God in revelation knowledge, and, relational experience, in a spirit of sonship;

b]To seek Him, by inquiring and requiring of Him, to depend on Him wholly and completely, for His word of promise, to come to fulfilment.

Seeking Him FIRST –

Seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. [Matthew 6:33] The Lord has spoken these words in the context of overcoming worry and anxiety, that can creep in and cause troublesome disquiet in a person, quickly multiply, to begin as a care or concern, and progress to ultimately become a stronghold or bondage. It therefore needs to be nipped in the bud. And it is made possible, even when the world around you is riddled with uncertainties, and fluctuating fortunes. For, the Lord knows every intricacy regarding what is happening in your life even now, and more importantly remains sovereign over it all. Therefore, worrying need not be part of your agenda. For all that you need will be added unto you, by the Father, when you seek Him first.

Seeking first, His kingdom & His righteousness:

It is to depend upon His being and His doing; who He is, and what He wants you to do, because of who He is. When He is your Heavenly Father, as the Savior has revealed Him to be, you do not even need to know, what He has in store for you, or resort to manipulation. For, all said and done, it is only He who can give you what you could be needing at this present moment, and the Heavenly Father will certainly do it, for you are His child.

Seeking Him in prayer:

And prayer is about prioritizing Him, knowing and seeking His will, His kingdom purposes, and getting ready to receive what has already been prepared for you. Therefore in a time of suffering you can pray, and not merely a panic prayer, but something higher, which is a purposeful prayer. It is because, your dependence is upon a God who causes all things to work together for the good of those who love Him, and have been called according to His purpose. [Romans 8:28]

CROSS – the centrality of christian faith:

But the problem with you and I is that we want to do, or worse still, want God to fulfil our needs, answer our prayer in the manner in which we want it to be done. And the lesson you need to learn in such a situation is to be still, and know that you are not God, rather, know that He is God. And receiving Christ into your heart, to become a child of God, you know now that you no longer live, but, it is Christ who lives in you, for you have been crucified with Christ, and the life you now live in the body is by faith in the Son of God. [Galatians 2:20]

Seeking & knowing His plan for you:

The finished work of the Savior on the Cross is the centrality of the christian faith, leading you to the truth that it is not about your will for your life, but His plan that is much more higher and better, for you are His child, heir and co heir with Christ, that is going to occupy center stage, to come to pass in your life. And it will serve to put to rest, the primary root cause of anxiety in your life that stems from things not happening in your life, according to your will, and in the way that you wanted it to be done. And it is also where seeking Him, knowing Him more and more in a continual relationship as your Heavenly Father, comes into play to establish the truth that what comes from Him is what is the very best for you. Having faith in Him, who He is, and what He can accomplish in your life, is what empowers you, even as what Job in the scriptures believed, and therefore spoke, in the midst of his overwhelming suffering and loss, saying, I know that you are the Almighty God, who can do all things. And no purpose of yours can ever be thwarted. [Job 42:2] Job had many questions in his pain and misery, but God answered him with more questions of His own, making Job realise his own folly. He needed to come to a place of knowing that God’s purpose can never fail. And what the Lord brought about in the end in his life was a two fold restoration of all that he had lost. Even this day, you have the privilege of calling Him Father. He is Our Father. And He will glorify you in Him and will be glorified through you, as you depend on Him, trust and rest in Him. In seeking their own righteousness, instead of submitting to God’s righteousness, the chosen people of God, the Israelites, zealous though they were for the things of God, went astray. [Romans 10:3] And even in you, just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your thoughts can be led astray, from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. [2 Corinthians 11:3]

But Godly blessings come only in godly ways:

Scripture describes how the patriarch Jacob, wrestled with the Angel of God, an entire night, that he may be blessed. But the truth was, God’s blessing was upon him, while he was yet in his mother’s womb. Rebecca knew it, yet human frailty and fallibility, saw her resort to wrongful manipulation, that led to Jacob having to flee from his brother’s anger, to come under an unjust father in law, Laban for twenty long years. What goes around comes around it has been said. And it very aptly described Jacob’s hardships, the root cause of which was trying to grab by unrighteous means, the blessing that he needed to receive from God, depending on Him, resting in Him to receive from Him, and find restoration. [Genesis 25:19-33:20]

And, only HE knows :

I know the plans I have for you; plans to prosper you and not to harm you; to give you a future and a hope. [Jeremiah 29:11] In a time of uncertainty, in an alien land, it was the Lord’s word concerning the plans He had for His people. Only He knew what they were. It is so, even today, in your life. And therefore, in order to know and appropriate it, what you need to do is – Then when you call upon Me and pray to Me, I will hear you. When you search for Me, you will find Me, if you seek Me with all your heart. I will let You find Me, and restore your fortunes… [Jeremiah 29:12-14] The key lies in knowing Him more and more by continually seeking Him, His kingdom, trusting and resting in Him. His plan for you is much greater, more beautiful, and it will certainly come to pass.

Seeking Him first & finding Him:

And therefore, you do not have to worry about tomorrow. [Matthew 6:34] Seek Him first, and the time will come, when He makes all things beautiful in your life. Your times are in His hands, and He has engraved you in the palm of His hand. His grace surrounds you. Let every worry and anxious thought be removed from your mind, to be replaced by quietness and confidence that becomes your strength, the knowledge that He will care for you and lead you to the place that He has prepared for you, His good and perfect will for your life. In the Name of Christ Jesus Amen.
