As you continue to seek the Lord and His righteousness, may He speak into your heart, hear His voice, through His word of promise – The young lions may suffer want and be hungry, But those who seek the Lord, will lack no good thing. [Psalms 34:10] And how He brings good things into your life, the principle underlying it can be seen even in creation, in the world framed by the spoken word of God, a truth that you understand by faith. [Hebrews 11:3] It was very good in the sight of God for it had the right shape, the substance, and was in sequence or divine order, so that it may fulfill its purpose, or in other words, service. And it is in relationship with Him that you can realize the purpose of creation And in new creation in Christ also, it is the word that takes center stage, in a relationship of sonship with God as Heavenly Father, to make your world. It becomes possible as He fashions the heart of man. [Psalms 33:15]
The heart of the matter is the heart:
The heart is where He begins, for as can be seen when a house is built, it becomes a home depending on who is living inside. It is how the grace of God begins to work in you, as He has promised through the prophet Ezekiel, even in the Old Testament – I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them; I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, so that they may follow My statutes and keep My ordinances and obey them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God. [Ezra 11:19,20] It takes place when you are saved, and receive a new spirit, without which you will not have the freedom to obey the ordinances of God. As it is written in the New Testament “This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel, after those days, says the Lord; I will put My laws in their minds, and write them on their hearts, And I will be their God, and they shall be My people”. [Hebrews 8:10,11] He gives you a new spirit, in which He puts His word, that becomes the enabling to live in a new way.
Your life is framed by the WORD:
By wisdom, a house is built, and by understanding it is established. By knowledge, the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. [Proverbs 24:3,4] And knowledge that the bible talks about, is more than merely the superficial; it comes by getting to know God, spending time listening to His voice through His word, that you may be enlightened and transformed in your inner being, for what God has not done inside you, in your heart, He can not do through you. And in the seventh chapter of Romans, the Apostle Paul describes his problem, and also the knowledge of the solution that God has provided in Christ. [Romans 7:24,25]
Your heart fashioned by God:
You may think mistakenly that you know yourself, but the truth is very different. Therefore, you need to start with God, even if it takes time, for, it is how your heart is fashioned by God. It could be so even in a marriage relationship, that is essentially much more than the festivities of a single day, as by grace, depending on Him, you let Him frame your heart, through His word, to be fashioned for its original intended purpose. Be ready to listen to Him, and instead of trying to change a person, depend on the One who has transformed you. The scripture describes every room of the house is being filled with knowledge, understanding, and the wisdom of God that comes through His word, to describe the truth of God being interested in every aspect of your life, every nook and corner of it, in essence, declaring that His word, when the knowledge of it, is received with understanding, and wisdom that is an application of it, brings healing that is wholeness in your life, with everything being in the manner that it ought to be. The practical expression of the house that is built in such a way is what is in line with the principle of faith, which is portrayed in the Lord’s parable that emphasizes-
Hearers and doers:
Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. [Matthew 7:24] The Lord here describes the one who hears His word and practices them in his life, as the means to make the goodness of God his practical experience. For as you hear the word, and it enters your heart giving an understanding of the truth, it leads to believing that causes the light of the word to fill your heart. And then, as the relevant situation arises, out of the fullness of the heart, your mouth begins to speak or pour out the truth. And therefore, in a time of weakness, a confession in the faith of the truth of His word can lead you to declare, ‘Let the weak say, I am strong’. And it would be not a denial of your reality, but a confession of a revelation truth that changes your reality, to come in line with it. Therefore, it is so very vital that you need to examine yourself to see whether you are in faith speaking what God has spoken over every aspect of your life, proclaiming what is going to happen, instead of lamenting about what could not be in the right condition at present. And therefore
Take care of how you listen:
Christianity is not mystical; there is nothing hidden. But how you listen, listening with understanding matters, for – To those who have, more will be given; and from those who do not have, even what they seem to have, will be taken away. [Luke 8:17,18] And the gospel writer Mark, elaborates upon the truth in saying – the standard of measure with which you measure, it will be measured back to you. [Mark 4:23,24] Or in other words, the measure of thought and study that you give to the truth you hear, will be the measure of virtue and knowledge that comes back to you.
Take it to the Lord in prayer:
Of course, devoting much time and attention to studying the word of God, may not be an inclination that comes very easily. And it is why, you need to go to God in prayer, to depend upon him to birth in you a desire and hunger for it, that only He can give you a heart that longs for Him, that He may give you a new heart, a new spirit, and puts in it, new desires. Whatever the hindrance or roadblock may be, just take it to the Lord in prayer, that you may be set free. He will fashion your heart, to be filled with His fullness, that every aspect of your life will be filled with His goodness, what is good and pleasant. May you be a wise man or woman, receiving wisdom from Him builds your family, a generation that seeks the Lord, as His word becomes the lamp for your feet, and the light for your path. Father, We thank Thee; for we have not lost our way, and only because You are holding us by Your hand to take us to where You want to be. We seek to know you more and more, that our hearts may be fashioned by Thee, and our lives framed by Thy word, even as it takes deep root in our hearts, that it may bear the right fruit, that we may be a display of Thy splendor.
