Perfect love that expels fear

May the Lord speak into your heart a word in season, that is medicine which brings restoration of health, a healing in you, that springs forth speedily, as we meditate upon His promise… but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. [Psalms 34:10] God’s goodness flows into your lift through His gift of salvation, an aspect of which is a renewing of your mind, that aligns the thoughts of your mind with His higher and greater ones. And repentance and reconciliation is how a renewing of your mind takes place in you, leading to a transformation of your life. Reconciliation takes place as you respond willingly to God’s invitation, to come to Him, that He may reason with you, that your sins as scarlet may be washed white as wool, that sin, the stumbling block to you receiving the blessing of God, His goodness may become your good portion in life. [Isaiah 1:18,19] It is seen portrayed in the scriptures, as God encounters Moses in the wilderness, to reason with him, promising to reveal Himself, make Himself known to His people.

Love, the reason:

Whoever has My commands, and obeys them, he is the one who loves Me. He who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I too will love him and show Myself to him. [John 14:21] They are the words of the Savior, declaring His motive behind revealing Himself, making Himself real in your life and mine. It is all about His love.

This is how we know what love is:

God is love. It is His very being. He reveals what it is, and has expressed it to you in Christ ,that you may. Experience what true love is. God demonstrated His love by sending Christ into the world. [John 3:16] Christ expressed His love for you, by laying down His life for you on the Cross of Calvary. [1 John 3:16] and when you receive Him as Savior and Lord into your life, the love of God is poured into your heart by the blessed Holy Spirit, who enables you to experience the love of Godin your life. [Romans 5:5] And the gift of the Spirit in you, is also upon your children, that your entire family may be filled with His love. It is His wish and desire, His covenant with you. [Isaiah 59:21]

The love of God in tribulation:

To know Christ, and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, is the desire of the apostle Paul, as he writes to the Philippian church. [Philippians 3:10] For, through it all, you will come to understand and experience His love in a closer and deeper dimension. The Lord does not promise a trouble free Christian life. A Christian cannot avoid facing challenges. In this world, you will have tribulation; but take heart, for I have overcome the world. [John 16:33]

Tribulation –> perseverance –> character:

But in times of tribulation, by His Spirit in you, God loves you, to develop your character, that goes to bring about transformation in you, making you more conformed to the image of His Son. It is why Paul rejoices in sufferings saying – We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts, by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us. [Romans 5:3-5] He loves you, and does not wish that you remain as you are. ‘What change do I have to make, Lord,’ needs to be the prayer of your heart, for God can solve the problem you are going through, in the fraction of a second. But, He is even now waiting, that something far more precious and important to Him, a change in you that leads to a godly transformation, that is in alignment with His will for you, may happen in you. He is waiting for you to begin co operating with Him, as you pray the prayer of the prophet Jeremiah, ‘Change me, O Lord, and I will be changed’. For, it is when the Son sets you free, that you are free; you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

Proven character:

It is a maturity that comes only when you walk in obedience, in step with the Spirit, as you hear His voice through God’s word, counseling you in the path of a right and godly response as you face challenges and problems in your Christian walk, in your interactions with other people. By the grace of God, and the enabling of the Spirit in you, indeed your response can be what is befitting to a man of God, and not a mere man… People may knowingly wrong you, causing you pain, even as Joseph’s brothers did, as they showed a blood stained garment to Jacob, their father, as proof that his son was dead. It is how manipulative the human heart can be. But God can take the same heart, and fill it with His Spirit, that you may say to the one who has hurt you, ‘I forgive you, for Christ has forgiven me’! Let it be your life’s experience this day, as proven character, leads to hope in you, a hope that will enable you to declare, ‘I know in whom I have put my trust’.

Trust –> hope –> rest in God:

You can find your rest in God, knowing that He will take care of everything concerning you, even what seems to be an immovable problem, at present. And ever so often the reason for your problem lingering and not leaving, is the truth that you find it difficult to entrust your problem completely into His hand, that He may deal with it, as only He can. Hope will never put you to shame, for the love of God has been poured into your heart by the Holy Spirit. And

Perfect love expels fear:
Tribulation can often make you fearful, not knowing how you can face it, but His perfect love, poured in you by the Holy Spirit in you, expels every fear in you, for as it is written in the scripture, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love and sound mind. [2 Timothy 1:7] You are fearful when you are weak, insecure or confused. But when you are weak He becomes your strength. When you are insecure He engulfs you with His love. And when you are confused He becomes your wisdom, giving clarity. And it is all because He loves you.

Overwhelmed by LOVE:

May the Holy Spirit fill you with the love of God this day, enabling you to co operate with the plans and purposes of God for you, that you may live the rest of your life, not in regret, but rejoicing in what the Lord has done, and is yet to do in your life. And may your prayer be that the Lord may soften your heart, help you to see your real self, to throw yourself at the mercy of God, that He may confront you, change you, transform you to bring His goodness into your life, for those who seek the Lord, will lack no good thing in life, now and forevermore. In the Name of Christ Jesus Amen.
