The SEED of Blessing

The Lord bless thee from Zion; And may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. [Psalms 128:5] The blessing of God is connected to the call of God upon your life, which is to be called His child, as He expresses the love that He has lavished upon you. [1 John 3:1] And you experience His love to also express it around you to become a blessing, because it has been poured into your heart by the Holy Spirit. He produces in you the spirit of adoption that you may call Him ‘Abba Father’. The Holy Spirit gives in you the realization that you are a child of God, to also produce in you the attitude of Christ, the Son of God, that you may be transformed to be conformed to His image. It is how the apostle Paul is able to confidently declare that ‘we have the mind of Christ’. [1 Corinthians 2:16] And the parable of the sower gives a picture of how it comes about in you, for the Lord on explaining it, has pointed out that it is the rudimentary truth, and therefore an understanding of its truth is vitally important.

Seed – soil – fruit:

The seed, imperishable and incorruptible, is the word of God; the soil is the heart of a person; the fruit is the full expression of the seed, or the word of God, in your life. And what makes a difference is the nature of the soil, or the understanding of the truth of God, with which you receive the seed, or the word of promise that God speaks to you through His word. The answer to any problem or need that you face lies in the word, and therefore, if you want to be fruitful in life, you need to be seed full. And it is why the equation in your needs to be –

A seed full heart in submission to a faithful God, leading to a fruitful life –

Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God, it is written in the scriptures. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, as He spoke, ‘Let there be light’, into what was formless and void, with darkness over the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And there was light [Genesis 1:1-3] He started with emptiness, but there was fullness and nothing missing by the end of the sixth day. And Adam and Eve were placed in a garden and not a forest. For it is a garden that has a specific, intended design, something that would be absent in a forest, where anything and everything could grow randomly with no purpose or design. And in you and I, it is our heart that becomes the garden of God, even as you receive with understanding the seed that is the word of God, and with time become spiritually mature. It comes by the seed, the word of God in your heart, the Spirit of God in you, and it could take time for the attitude of God to develop in you.

Dealing with others –

And it is therefore wise to remember that the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. [James 1:20] And it is the kindness of God, and not violence or anger that leads you to repentance. When you fall, you need a hand that lifts you up, and not someone who is lecturing you about avoiding pitfalls! When anxious thoughts arise, you can pray as the psalmist has done 0 Lord, test me, probe me and know my inner thoughts. See if there is any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. [Psalms 139:24]There is always a godly way, and He is a God who helps you. He is also the Greatest Teacher. And it is in the manner in which He has dealt with you, in patience and love that He wants you to deal with others around you, in the problems that arise when your children may not be what they ought to be, or your workplace as fulfilling as you desire it to be. Whatever the setting, in your emotions, or your finances may be where it could be a time of upheaval or lack, He can produce in you, the attitude of the Son of God, by giving you the seed, His word that has the power to uproot and to plant. Therefore putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word that is able to save your soul.[James 1:21]

Thinker- Feeler – Decider:

Your mind, emotions and will, together make up your soul, and therefore all three need to be dealt with by the word that is able to save your soul. And your heart is the land where what you sow in it sprouts and grows. It is why your vision has to come from God, even as the Lord has promised to pour out His Spirit in the last days for such a thing to happen. [Joel 2:28] And it is also what makes Christian life simple in a way, for you know that God has a plan for your life, and all you need to do is to use your free will to do His will. You can rest assured that it would certainly be greater than anything that you would have envisioned for yourself on your own. A child born into this world is born with a plan of God. And it was by faith, believing in it that Moses’s parents hid him for three months to then let go of him, to float in the waters. And God’s miraculous hand brought him once again to be weaned by his mother. There is nothing that God cannot do.

Giving to God –

And what you give to God you never lose. He loves a cheerful giver. [2 Corinthians 8:9] And more than money, He desires your heart, your life, that He may accomplish His purposes in and through you. And we are not unaware of the devil’s schemes, the apostle Paul declares, for the evil one would give the world to you, if only he could gain your soul. It is why you need God. And you need to receive His word with humility.

Humility, a sign of Christian maturity:

It is so, for humility gives you the ability to listen to God; go to Him in prayer with an empty paper, that He may write upon it what is right, even as you pray the prayer of Samuel to say, ‘Speak Lord, your servant is listening’, for whatever your problem may be, He already knows all about it. And in whatever way He chooses to solve it would be what is best. All you need to do is to listen to what He has to say, that you may reply, ‘Be it unto me, Lord, according to your word’, and may it be your prayer this day, as His grace lifts you up to where He wants you to be, as a display of His splendor. In the Name of Christ Jesus Amen.
